I have been making short films with some very funny, talented comics here in the Hollywood area. We have done three so far,.. the last two are coming to the internet soon. I am in the process of REALLY updating the site with reels, images, shorts, trailers, info, updates, etc. STAY TUNED FOR THE NEW IMPROVED www.darkartentertainment.com! Also (though it's down right now) writing a section called Kallio's Korner,.. on www.livingcorpse.com,.. featuring movie reviews, rants, raves, etc. by yours truely.

Stay tuned for more info on the monster movie and a diary on the making of "My Name is Bruce" the new feature directed and starring Bruce Campbell, written by Mark Verhidian (Battlestar Glactica: the Series, The Mask, and more).

"Ground Zero" is on hold but, we are looking for Detroit bands and musicians to send us demos and/or CD's for the All Detroit soundtrack we are putting together. "Ground Zero" is a comedy/drama set within the Detroit music scene. It revolves around college radio D.J. Jake Masters and the ending of his popular radio show, "Ground Zero." During the course of this disappointing event, he must deal with the closing of the radio station, his career, his future, and Katelynn,.. his soon-to-be ex-wife. Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Xena, Jack of All Trades) will be featured in the film as will other "known people in bit parts and cameos,.. but at this time can't reveal who. Just to keep you all in suspense."

"Hatred of a Minute", the psychological thriller about a medical transcriptionist who becomes a serial killer because of his physically and mentally abused past, is OUT! Go to Best Buy or check Amazon.com just to name a few outlets that carry the DVD (loaded with extras, including a commentary with Bruce Campbell and Michael Kallio). Check back here or on the SCREENINGS PAGE at www.hatred-of-a-minute.com for public screenings.
"Mutant Swinger from Mars", is done and looking for distribution. It is currently being looked at by the Sci-Fi Channel.
"Broken Wing", is a short film about an angel who loses his faith and must find the strength to help Kelly, an alcoholic, who is suffering the loss of her fiance'. The 16mm short is finished and public screenings will be announced soon.

"LEFT TURN ON RED LIGHT" is a Super-8 short written by Mark Petty and Directed by Michael Kallio. Shot in 1999, the film revolves around a husbands deciet and the other woman. We will, hopefully, complete this 8-10 minute film within the next couple of monthes and offer it to you on-line.
